  • Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Clinic: In 1990, Scottish Rite for Children created one of the first tuberous sclerosis complex clinics in the country, which has served as a model for TSC clinics nationwide.
  • Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis (HSP) Clinic: In 2012, the first and only pediatric HSP clinic in the nation was established at Scottish Rite.
  • Neuromuscular Clinic: We have a world-renowned reputation for treating children with neuromuscular disorders that dates back to the late 1970s.
  • Motor Control Clinic: In collaboration with major universities around the country, Scottish Rite has created a consortium focusing on childhood motor disorders.

Our internationally recognized orthopedists and neurologists have teamed up to create a multidisciplinary center for the care of children with cerebral palsy. The center has garnered worldwide recognition. It benefits patients locally as well as those who travel from across the country and around the world to receive Scottish Rite for Children's expert, individualized care.

Scottish Rite for Children's Neurology department is committed to the discovery and development of better treatments for children with neuro-orthopedic disorders. To accomplish this mission, the department actively collaborates with academic centers on a national and international scale. This collaborative research effort has yielded important discoveries that benefit children with nervous system disorders around the world.

To that end, the Neurology team recognizes the responsibility to share its innovation and knowledge with health care professionals and does so through highly respected training programs. Scottish Rite's Neurology staff serves as faculty of UT Southwestern Medical Center and trains residents and fellows from around the world. Under the expert guidance of our neurologists, the residents and fellows contribute to the department’s world-renowned research initiatives and achievements.
